SynergyLabs began with Founder and CEO Richard Ticktin’s first product: “Flea Doctor,” a 100% orthoboric acid flea treatment for homes. This DIY powder marked the company’s first step into manufacturing—laying the groundwork for a future driven by innovation and entrepreneurial grit.

Running out of space, the business relocated from Ricahrd’s home to a location in Dania Beach, Florida.

The company produces over 30 products and gains a national reputation for manufacturing premium quality pet products. SynergyLabs products can now be found on the shelves of specialty retailers.

SynergyLabs entered 2009 as a fully vertically integrated global supplier, providing unparalleled value to its customers. From blow molding bottles, to graphic design, from digital label printing, to formulating and laboratory analysis. From concept-to-shelf, everything could be done under one roof.

SynergyLabs now distributes its products to over 35 countries worldwide.

SynergyLabs moved into a 45,700 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The company’s products are now in 40 countries worldwide.

SynergyLabs wins several awards: Best Fort Lauderdale Company, X-Treme Catnip best packaging, Groomer’s Salon Select best packaging, and SMFA manufacturer of the year award.

Significant investments in laboratory R&D. Begins developing new 2-step wound care technology and all-natural enzymatic toothpaste.

SynergyLabs achieved 99.9% scores on multiple third-party efficiency and quality control audits, validating our operational excellence. Independent lab testing confirmed the superior efficacy and accuracy of our formulations versus competitors. This year also marked our entry into grocery and mass retail channels, expanding access to our trusted pet care products.

This year, SynergyLabs introduced a line of breakthrough supplements designed for pets and their parents. Also launched in 2019, Veterinary Formula® Advanced—a premium medicated solution created to give the specialty channel a competitive edge.

After outgrowing its Fort Lauderdale headquarters, SynergyLabs moved into a new 250,000 sq. ft. facility in North Carolina—four times the size of the previous space. The expansion enhanced capabilities with in-house paste, gel, and supplement manufacturing, added packaging lines, and significantly extended R&D operations.

Our North Carolina manufacturing facility achieved cGMP certification, reinforcing our commitment to quality and compliance. That same year, SynergyLabs was named an NASC Preferred Supplier, recognizing our high standards in pet supplement manufacturing and ingredient integrity.

SynergyLabs celebrates 30 years of science-backed innovation, global growth, and dedication to pet wellness. From a single flea product to a global portfolio of trusted brands, our journey has been driven by passion, progress, and the pets who inspire everything we do.

Veterinary Formula® Smart Vitality supplements received the prestigious NASC Quality Seal, certifying our commitment to the highest standards in pet supplement safety, transparency, and manufacturing practices.
